Key Responsibilities:

The responsibilities of the Quality Control Specialist are diverse and encompass the following:

  • Conducting tests on equipment to verify effective and safe operation, which necessitates a strong ability to interpret technical plans and drawings.
  • Contributing significantly to the design and creation of test specimens, ensuring they accurately reflect the products and systems under evaluation.
  • Demonstrating proficiency in computer-aided drafting (CAD) and preparing detailed shop drawings for model construction, alongside a comprehensive understanding of material specifications and fabrication techniques.
  • Utilizing in-depth knowledge and practical skills to guarantee that every facet of the project complies with rigorous quality and safety standards.
  • Collaborating with various teams to provide solutions to technical challenges with a focus on teamwork and innovation.

The Quality Control Specialist is integral to the success of the C4ISR/EW systems project, ensuring that all components are designed, tested, and executed with precision and care, aligning with the project's objectives and requirements. This role is suited for individuals who blend theoretical knowledge with hands-on experience in engineering, software design, and quality control, and who exhibit strong analytical abilities and meticulous attention to detail.

Qualifications:

Quality Control Specialist II:

Education:

  • High School diploma/GED, relevant military experience, or completion of a trade/industrial school program.

Experience:

  • Minimum of three (3) years of professional experience in resolving technical issues.
  • Trained in engineering and/or software design/maintenance techniques.
  • Possesses a practical understanding of engineering concepts.
  • Ensures that products/services and processes adhere to quality and safety standards.
  • Experience in testing equipment to confirm effective and safe operations.
  • Ability to interpret technical plans and drawings and assist in the design and fabrication of test specimens.
  • Experience with computer-aided drafting (CAD), capable of preparing shop drawings for model construction, and familiar with material specifications and fabrication methods.

Quality Control Specialist III:

Education:
