Key Responsibilities:

  • Document software bugs and enhancements, providing detailed reports for development teams.
  • Create product release notes, highlighting new features and improvements.
  • Present live demonstrations of new release features to customers and peers, showcasing the software's capabilities.
  • Collaborate with the Support Team to troubleshoot reported issues and apply solutions to resolve them.
  • Develop and execute in-depth test scripts to identify and resolve software defects, working with internal and external resources as needed.
  • Monitor and report the progress of defect resolution throughout the software development life cycle.
  • Coordinate test activity schedules and manage the usage and availability of test environments and facilities.

Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong knowledge of PC and LAN environments, primarily using Windows Server and Windows Operating Systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software programs and the ability to effectively use software applications for data entry, data analysis, word processing, presentations, and calculations.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
  • Working knowledge of SQL and database concepts.
  • Experience with Client/Server, Web, and Mobile applications.
  • Agile experience and source control knowledge.
  • Prior law enforcement experience, preferably with SmartCOP software.
  • Knowledge of software quality assurance concepts and practices.
  • Effective testing skills, including test planning and execution, and the ability to apply software quality assurance principles.
  • Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop logical, documented recommendations and work with development teams to resolve issues.
  • Detail-oriented with an aptitude for facilitating the removal of defects from software development teams.
