This position plays a crucial role within an agile scrum team, focusing on the creation, execution, analysis, and validation of our software products. The goal is to develop scalable applications across various digital platforms to effectively serve our clientele. The selected candidate will adopt a software quality and customer-centric perspective to ensure that developers produce high-quality applications aligned with the product vision. The team will engage in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), from conceptualization and business analysis to user experience design and stringent testing against industry standards for quality assurance and compliance. The role necessitates the technical expertise to craft and implement test automation scripts as part of ongoing regression testing protocols. Test engineers are expected to contribute to the refinement of the Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CICD) process, conduct code reviews, and participate in manual testing. The incumbent will serve as a subject matter expert, offering guidance and resolving inquiries from fellow test engineers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Collaborate with software developers, product analysts, and other stakeholders to comprehend requirements for new or enhanced features. Responsible for drafting test case documents, test plans, and test results that comply with SOC2 standards established by Principal Analysts. Conduct peer reviews of testing documentation. Acquire, manipulate, or generate all necessary test data required for software quality assurance. Mentor junior test engineers in this capacity. Engage in idea generation, exploring, and proposing business rules that facilitate the achievement of required product features. Contribute to an evolving and updated product backlog. Participate in release activities as necessary to ensure successful, high-quality product updates. Coordinate release night activities for the department. As part of an agile work team, participate in all scrum ceremonies, assist in sprint planning, and complete required sprints from development through final execution of software applications/programs. Communicate any issues or blockers to the Scrum Master promptly. Assist in story creation (e.g., Definition of Done, Acceptance Criteria, estimation). Create tasks for their stories in RTC or Jira, updating status and assignments accordingly. Monitor work against the production schedule and provide progress updates, reporting any issues or impediments to senior analysts/principals regularly. Develop and execute test automation scripts as part of ongoing regression testing standards. Test engineers will utilize various QA Automation technologies, including Java programming, Selenium, Appium, and our cloud build and delivery processes. The role is responsible for participating in the refinement of the CICD process, conducting code reviews, and mentoring junior test engineers. Additional duties as assigned.

EDUCATION

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, or a closely related field.

Preferred

Master's Degree in Information Systems, Business Management, or Healthcare Administration.

EXPERIENCE

Required

5 years of experience in writing test artifacts that adhere to SOC2 standards. 1 year of experience in developing test automation software following coding and industry best practices. 1 year of experience mentoring junior Test Engineers at various levels of responsibility.

Preferred

5 years of hands-on experience in various testing types – Functional Testing, UI Testing, Integration Testing, Negative Testing, Database Testing, API Testing, and Regression Testing. 2 years of experience with one or more Test management tools. 2 years of experience working on Cloud platform-based applications and understanding Cloud concepts. 2 years of experience in developing test automation software according to coding and industry best practices.

SKILLS

Proven ability to achieve ambitious goals in a highly innovative and fast-paced environment. Experience working with agile methodologies, particularly scrum. Proficient in spoken and written English. Knowledge of best practices throughout the full software development life cycle, including requirements, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations. Strong track record in designing and implementing large-scale consumer-facing applications. A strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive. Demonstrated passion for user experience and enhancing usability. Experience and willingness to mentor junior team members and assist in their skill and leadership development.

COMPENSATION

Pay Range Minimum: $67,500.00

Pay Range Maximum: $124,800.00
