Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure adherence to Nucor's safety standards and programs.
  • Exhibit leadership aligned with Nucor's vision and values.
  • Oversee customer relations and post-sale functions, ensuring efficient coordination from order to delivery.
  • Manage financial aspects of contracts to safeguard the company's interests while fostering strong customer relationships.
  • Collaborate with various departments to support our commercial strategy, enhancing customer partnerships and project management.
  • Lead and execute business strategies focusing on safety, quality, cost, productivity, and profitability.
  • Produce forecasting reports to assess team performance against post-sale targets.
  • Supervise and train new team members, ensuring high standards of productivity and quality.
  • Manage the assignment of detailing work and oversee the quality of output from detailers.
  • Coordinate with external vendors for detailing services, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
  • Review contracts and change orders for profitability and compliance.
  • Facilitate communication between detailers and customers to ensure accurate information flow.
  • Conduct performance appraisals and recommend salary adjustments for detailing personnel.
  • Stay updated on technological advancements in detailing methodologies.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Vocational certificate in CAD design/drafting or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of ten years in rebar detailing or related industry experience, with at least six years using Nucor's detailing system.
  • Three years of supervisory experience in detailing or related fields.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two-year technical degree from an accredited institution.

Special Demands:

  • Work hours may extend beyond standard business hours.
  • Travel may be required, including overnight stays.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding personnel and sensitive information.

Physical Demands:

  • Engage in typical office activities, including walking, sitting, and standing.
  • Utilize hands for operating tools, computers, and electronic equipment.
  • Lift and handle office equipment as necessary.
  • Ability to focus on close vision tasks.
