Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Medical Sales Representative to join our team at Merit Medical Systems. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for presenting and selling our innovative medical devices to new and existing accounts, while maintaining close relationships with clients to ensure their needs are understood and met.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Establish and Maintain Client Relationships: Meet regularly with clients and accounts to present and demonstrate Merit products, identify potential customers, and monitor client satisfaction.
  2. Coordinate with Sales Team: Work closely with Merit marketing and sales staff to ensure timely delivery of products, stay informed about new products, and provide customer feedback.
  3. Make Decisions and Take Action: Make decisions within approved authorization limits regarding product pricing to optimize sales volume and profitability, and prepare customized drawings for clients as needed.
  4. Provide Excellent Customer Service: Resolve problems with clients regarding manufacturing or delivery issues, and follow up with clients to identify opportunities to increase sales volume and profitability.
  5. Stay Informed and Up-to-Date: Participate in sales training and planning meetings to learn about new products and marketing promotions, and maintain a high level of knowledge about Merit and competitor products.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Equivalent to a related Bachelor's Degree, with a minimum of three years of direct sales experience, preferably in selling medical products.
  • Skills and Abilities: Excellent communication and presentation skills, ability to think quickly and apply facts to analyze problems, and ability to work effectively as a team member to achieve organization goals.
  • Competencies: New client establishment, product demonstration, customer service, customized drawing preparation, pricing contract preparation, problem-solving, product pricing decision-making, sales reports, product knowledge, and goal setting/achievement.
