Role Overview:

The Sales Manager is responsible for achieving and surpassing revenue targets by cultivating new business opportunities and enhancing existing client relationships. The ideal candidate will provide warm, knowledgeable service, ensuring guests feel confident in their choice to stay with us.

  • Performance Goals: Meet at least 90% of productivity objectives and 100% of activity targets as set by management.
  • Direct Sales Initiatives: Conduct targeted sales calls aimed at high-revenue potential clients, aligning with departmental budget and marketing strategies. Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license are required for client visits.
  • Key Account Management: Optimize current key accounts by identifying opportunities for revenue enhancement.
  • New Business Development: Leverage networking and market research to attract competitor accounts and generate new business.
  • Lead Follow-Up: Respond to all leads within 48 hours to foster new business opportunities and, when applicable, refer leads to other properties.
  • Targeted Account Strategy: Develop and maintain a list of target accounts to drive new revenue and establish valuable contacts.
  • Prospecting: Continuously seek new business through innovative telemarketing and creative outreach.
  • Yield Management: Apply yield management techniques to negotiate room rates and event space, enhancing financial performance.
  • Client Service: Maintain organized and accurate client files to ensure efficient service delivery.
  • Relationship Building: Foster strong relationships with clients through regular communication and professional interactions.
  • Customer Profiling: Develop detailed customer profiles and maintain a trace system to effectively meet client needs.
  • Prompt Response: Address customer inquiries and needs in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Market Knowledge: Conduct thorough research to understand market dynamics and capitalize on competitive advantages.
  • Time Management: Focus on revenue-generating activities, dedicating at least 90% of work time to direct sales efforts.
  • Professional Conduct: Manage travel expenses responsibly to minimize costs for the department and hotel.
  • Team Collaboration: Maintain open communication with all departments to enhance overall hotel performance.
  • Appearance: Uphold a neat and professional appearance at all times.

Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent is required. Experience with major hotel brands is preferred.
