Role Summary

The Commodity Productivity Leader is accountable for overseeing the productivity Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and metrics. Utilizing project management and strategic leadership expertise, this position will be tasked with formulating and executing a comprehensive strategy to meet business cost objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the commodity productivity KPIs for the Controls & Services Sourcing Commodity.
  • Develop a cost strategy in collaboration with Commodity Strategy Leaders and Cost Program Managers (CPMs) to meet business goals.
  • Oversee significant cost initiatives for the commodity.
  • Facilitate the establishment and proactive funding of a multi-year project pipeline.
  • Direct the productivity ideation process for the commodity.
  • Implement and manage the commodity productivity action plan.
  • Lead internal cost operational meetings with CPMs, Buyers, and Value Engineers.
  • Engage with external resources (e.g., Design, Engine Programs) to expedite cost productivity initiatives.
  • Represent the Commodity in sourcing-wide cost discussions and evaluations with Product Line teams.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts to address inflation and minimize delays in productivity execution.
  • Collaborate with Sourcing Product Line and Cost teams to enhance processes.
  • Ensure the commodity utilizes Prodigy as the definitive source for cost data.
  • Maintain Prodigy 'health' by resolving issue logs and ensuring accurate data entry.
  • Educate and mentor CPMs, Buyers, Value Engineers, and others on productivity principles.
  • Promote collaboration among supplier teams to replicate successful cost strategies and insights.
  • Apply lean principles and engage in kaizen events to optimize product costs.
  • Assist Finance in the cost validation process.
  • This role necessitates the ability to work across organizational boundaries to achieve productivity by aligning internal teams.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Commercial Operations, Sourcing/Procurement, Supplier Relationship Management, Sales, Supply Chain, or Contract Management.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Commercial Operations, Sourcing/Procurement, Supplier Relationship Management, Sales, Supply Chain, or Contract Management.
  • Willingness to travel up to 15%.
