Retail Operations Manager Trainee

Job Type: Full-time, Day Shift, Evenings, Overnight Shift
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED is preferred.
- Prior experience in retail sales is advantageous.
- Capability to fulfill essential duties and responsibilities as outlined below.
Key Skills:
- Proficient in supervising and training staff on the use of equipment, tools, and materials as described in the Customer Service Representative (CSR) and Assistant Site Manager (ASM) roles.
- Ability to manage and oversee functions related to CSR and ASM positions.
- Competence in utilizing a computer, or the willingness to acquire necessary computer skills for tasks such as report analysis, inventory management, and cash handling.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for business-related travel.
- Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Leadership and Management:
- Recruit, hire, and train enthusiastic team members to ensure exceptional customer service.
- Develop and assign tasks to maintain a clean, well-stocked, and organized site in accordance with company standards.
- Uphold a professional image among team members and supervisors.
- Schedule staff in alignment with company guidelines to enhance customer service and maintain site appearance.
- Implement fair management practices during hiring, training, counseling, and employee separation.
Site Relationships:
- Foster positive relationships with suppliers.
- Ensure excellent service and address customer complaints promptly and professionally.
- Promote a safe and positive public image within the community.
Training and Development:
- Conduct timely performance evaluations for all employees, providing constructive feedback.
- Train staff to meet customer service, site image, and marketing standards.
- Educate employees on safety protocols and encourage safety awareness.
Communication:
- Develop effective communication strategies to ensure all employees receive timely information.
- Organize regular communication meetings with all site employees and the Market Manager.
Organizing and Planning:
- Assess and create action plans to address site needs and achieve objectives.
- Maintain organized site files and manuals.
- Supervise store employees to ensure timely and accurate completion of required reports.
- Ensure merchandise is stocked, attractively displayed, and correctly priced.
- Display all necessary employment-related posters and signs in accessible locations.
Financial Management:
- Analyze daily sales and expenses, taking action to optimize sales and profits.
- Prepare budgets and forecasts for profit and loss, while managing merchandise margins.
- Safeguard and account for all financial transactions.
- Conduct necessary financial analyses to maximize sales and profits.
Working Conditions:
- Primarily indoor work, with occasional outdoor tasks such as cleaning and maintenance.
- Exposure to varying temperatures while supervising employees in coolers or freezers.
- Occasional exposure to noise.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Maintain effectiveness as a manager, supervisor, and leader at all times.

Compensation:
Hiring range is $23.37 to $25.92 per hour.
