Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Insurance Verification Specialist to join our team at Gratius Enterprises Inc. as a key member of our operations team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately and efficiently verifying patient insurance coverage and hearing aid benefits for multiple insurance carriers, IPAs, medical groups, and CAP hospitals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contact various insurance companies to obtain detailed and accurate information about patient eligibility and hearing aid benefits.
  • Complete insurance verification forms, enter electronic notes, and communicate results to providers through our electronic practice management system.
  • Work with administrative teams to ensure correct and accurate information is received and communicated in a timely manner.
  • Meet or exceed daily quotas and maintain a high level of productivity.
  • Assist in educating and serving as a resource to clinics and other stakeholders.
  • Determine member benefit coverage and discuss benefits with clinics, team members, and administration.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of patient information in accordance with company policy and procedure, and HIPAA regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in insurance and billing, with a strong understanding of insurance concepts and prior experience with insurance carriers such as PPO, HMO, Medicare, and Medi-Cal.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with strong Excel skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Strong customer service orientation and ability to work well under pressure.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks within strict deadlines.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and take direction from management.
  • A thorough understanding of CPT, ICD-10, and medical terminology is a plus.
Work Environment

This is a full-time position in a professional office environment. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to multitask effectively.

The physical demands of this role include sitting for long periods, using a computer, and communicating with stakeholders. The employee must be able to lift up to 20 pounds and have the ability to adjust focus.
