Position Overview

The Healthcare Revenue Cycle Supervisor will oversee patient billing and insurance claims for SG HOMECARE INC. Key responsibilities include generating reports, analyzing financial data, identifying lost revenue opportunities, collecting payments, and implementing effective revenue cycle management (RCM) strategies to reduce financial losses. This role is crucial in defining and providing the necessary support and leadership to meet departmental goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate billing and collection operations to ensure efficiency.
  • Monitor accounts receivable activities and resolve discrepancies.
  • Oversee monthly financial closing processes, including reporting and account reconciliation.
  • Ensure accurate billing practices for insurance providers and patients.
  • Document and analyze medical billing denials from insurance companies.
  • Evaluate and enhance billing processes and procedures.
  • Train and mentor new staff members to uphold best practices.

Qualifications:

  • 4-7 years of experience in medical billing.
  • 2-4 years of supervisory experience preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of HIPAA regulations and compliance.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and computer skills.
  • Familiarity with medical practice operations, particularly in durable medical equipment (DME).
  • Understanding of billing/collection methodologies and coding practices.
  • Proficient in third-party payer procedures and governmental regulations.
  • Ability to analyze data and identify trends for continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication skills to maintain effective relationships with staff, patients, and insurance organizations.

Work Environment:

This position is based in a standard office setting, with regular interaction with staff and the public. The role requires sufficient mobility to perform office tasks, including prolonged periods of sitting or standing, operating office equipment, and effective verbal communication.

Physical Demands:

Incumbents must be able to perform light lifting and carrying, as well as operate standard office equipment, including computers. Vision must be sufficient to read documents and screens, and hearing must be adequate to communicate effectively.
