Job Overview

Position Summary:

SumBridge is seeking a Financial Controller to oversee the accounting operations for a manufacturing client. This role is pivotal in steering the accounting team and managing the financial aspects of the organization, which encompasses routine accounting tasks, financial systems management, and providing guidance to accounting personnel. This position operates in a Hybrid work environment, is a permanent/direct hire role, and comes with excellent benefits and competitive salary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the administration of general accounting systems and processes to ensure precise real-time reporting.
  • Manage the regular activities associated with financial statements, balance sheets, general ledgers, cash flow, accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory assessments, bank reconciliations, tax documentation, credit collections, project tracking, and specialized reporting.
  • Administer the financial planning process to uphold financial baselines and accurate real-time forecasts.
  • Develop, implement, and enhance Financial and Accounting Systems.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant local, state, and federal regulations, including GAAP standards.
  • Support payroll administration, HR policies, 401K plans, health benefits, corporate insurance, lease agreements, and other contracts.
  • Recruit and develop personnel as necessary.
  • Engage in the Corporate Strategic Planning Process.
  • Manage departmental and/or project budgets as required.
  • Exhibit strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities, necessitating independent analysis and judgment, along with the ability to lead problem resolution and corrective action implementation.
  • Effectively interface and influence stakeholders both within and outside the organization.
  • Demonstrate self-management in a dynamic environment with minimal oversight.
  • Possess general PC skills utilizing corporate-level systems and various software applications.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of company business processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members.
  • Support the realization of the corporate vision, mission, and shared values.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent; CPA, CMA, CFM, CGMA, or MBA preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in relevant roles.
  • Experience in supervisory and leadership positions is desirable.
  • Familiarity with information systems components and structures.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and general office applications.
  • Experience with ERP system management is preferred.
  • Proficiency in report writing using Crystal Reports is advantageous.
