Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team at Atlantix Partners LLC. As a key member of our accounting group, this individual will be responsible for managing and implementing customer payment activities, including receiving and processing customer payments, performing cash handling activities, and applying payments to customer accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • AR Ledger Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date AR ledgers, reconcile cash collections in bank to open invoices, and ensure timely payment processing.
  • Invoice Preparation and Distribution: Prepare invoices, coordinate review processes, and distribute invoices to clients in a timely and efficient manner.
  • AR Aging and Collection Reports: Prepare and maintain AR aging and collection reports to ensure customers are paying on time and in full.
  • Collection Efforts: Assist client service teams in collection efforts for accounts that become delinquent.
  • Import and Classification: Import invoices into the accounting general ledger and classify invoices into appropriate revenue accounts.
  • Cash Handling and Payment Processing: Process cash handling activities, including credit card and ACH payment processing.
  • Client and Internal Communication: Foster good relationships with external clients and internal account leads, and respond timely to inquiries from account leads or billing disputes.
  • Ad Hoc Reporting: Provide ad hoc billing analysis and special AR reports as needed.

Requirements:

  • Education: Associate degree in a related field is highly preferred, or high school diploma with significant level of experience in billing or accounts receivable.
  • Experience: 2 or more years of experience related to accounts receivable, billing, processing invoices, collections, and cash applications.
  • Skills: Expertise in Microsoft Office, intermediate or advanced skills in Excel, and technology-friendly with a willingness to learn new systems.
  • Soft Skills: Attention to detail, problem-solving, customer-centric, strong organizational skills, and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
