Accounts Receivable Specialist

The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for executing a range of accounting clerical duties associated with the upkeep and management of Accounts Receivable records and invoices for the clients of Forestry Resources, LLC.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe primary duties encompass, but are not limited to:
- Maintaining Accurate Records: Keeping detailed reports of customer payments by documenting cash, checks, and credit card transactions.
- Revenue Management: Recording all checks into computerized accounting software.
- Invoice Processing: Sending and confirming invoices for products and services rendered.
- Transaction Analysis: Reviewing transactions to address account discrepancies and managing collections on overdue accounts.
- Document Organization: Maintaining financial documents through a systematic filing approach, both electronically and physically.
- Confidential File Management: Establishing and safeguarding confidential employer and business files.
- Report Generation: Processing Accounts Receivable statements and reports utilizing computer programs.
- Customer Service: Upholding professionalism by delivering courteous service to clients, vendors, and visitors.
- Financial Reporting: Producing daily, weekly, and monthly financial statements/reports as required by management.
- Compliance Verification: Ensuring that transactions adhere to the financial policies and procedures set forth by the company.
- Invoice Preparation: Assisting in the preparation of invoices for distribution.
- Additional Duties: Performing other related tasks as assigned.
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:
- A high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- A minimum of two years of experience in Accounts Receivable.
- A combination of education and experience that meets the requirements.
- A solid understanding of best practices in Accounts Receivable management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- The ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- A high level of accuracy in financial data entry and preparation.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
The physical demands for this position include regular communication, frequent use of hands and fingers, and occasional standing, walking, sitting, and reaching. The employee may need to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Vision requirements include close and distance vision, along with the ability to adjust focus. The work environment is typically low to moderate in noise level.
