Position Overview:

This remote role is integral to supporting a diverse array of EMCOR operating companies, particularly in relation to on-premise assistance during mergers and acquisitions. The selected candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, as well as collaborating with Senior IT Directors to implement and enhance technology and security measures across existing operations and future acquisitions. This position will also involve managing post-acquisition integration and aiding newly acquired entities in aligning with EMCOR's operational standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with both new and established operating companies to address complex IT challenges as they arise.
  • Conduct IT assessments focusing on best practices, security solutions, and overall system health.
  • Collaborate closely with IT and Executive management on the design, budgeting, and implementation of technology initiatives.
  • Provide essential support services to Directors and Senior Directors within the organization.
  • Participate in a broad IT community to address issues that may affect multiple stakeholders.
  • Assist with urgent initiatives during mergers and acquisitions.
  • Design and implement solutions based on experience and a vetted list of approved vendors.
  • Ensure compliance with Corporate Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and industry best practices across Operating Companies.
  • Travel frequently (up to 50% of the year) throughout the United States to assist EMCOR companies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or equivalent professional experience.
  • A minimum of seven years in technology design, implementation, and troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on experience with IT and Security technologies, including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, PowerShell, Server OS, Virtualization, Backups, IT Asset Management, Business Continuity Planning, Endpoint Protection, and Cloud services.
  • Familiarity with a wide range of Security and IT technologies, with a commitment to staying updated on emerging trends.
  • Strong understanding of network routing and firewall operations.
  • Exceptional communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Willingness to work remotely and travel as necessary.
