Position Overview:

The IT Systems Analyst role is a remote opportunity that supports a diverse range of EMCOR operating companies, particularly in the context of mergers and acquisitions. This position involves troubleshooting and resolving technical issues while collaborating with Senior IT Directors to drive technology and security enhancements across existing and future acquisitions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with both new and established operating companies to address complex IT challenges.
  • Conduct IT assessments focusing on best practices, security solutions, and overall system health.
  • Collaborate closely with IT and executive leadership on technology design, budgeting, and implementation.
  • Provide essential support to Directors and Senior Directors within the organization.
  • Participate in a broad IT community to address issues that may affect multiple stakeholders.
  • Assist with urgent initiatives during mergers and acquisitions.
  • Design and implement solutions based on extensive experience and a vetted list of approved vendors.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate standard operating procedures and industry best practices across operating companies.
  • Travel frequently (up to 50% of the year) across the United States to support EMCOR companies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or equivalent professional experience.
  • A minimum of seven years of experience in technology design, implementation, and troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on experience with IT and security technologies, including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, PowerShell, Server OS, Virtualization, Backups, IT Asset Management, BCP, and Endpoint Protection.
  • Familiarity with a diverse range of security and IT technologies, with a commitment to staying updated on emerging trends.
  • Strong understanding of network routing and firewall operations.
  • Exceptional communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Willingness to work remotely and travel as necessary.
