About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Rates Analyst II or III to join our Rates/Regulatory team at EPCOR USA. This individual will be responsible for researching, investigating, developing recommendations, reporting, and testifying on proper utility policies, rates, and economics.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit timely and accurate regulatory reports and compile financial information and operational data necessary for filing rate applications to our various regulators.
- Prepare sections of regulatory applications and complete written testimony and exhibits with supporting papers.
- Respond to information requests and support testimony in public hearings.
- Ensure rates are implemented correctly into our billing system.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Math, Finance, Economics, or Business required. An advanced degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in financial analysis or accounting. Experience/knowledge in Water Utility industry a plus.
- Excellent quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills as well as strong communication skills, solid time management, and organization skills.
- Solid knowledge of fundamental accounting concepts and understanding of analytical concepts for financial analysis as well as US GAAP accounting practices.
- Intermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
