Position Summary: We are in search of skilled Survey Technicians who will meticulously outline routes from the existing infrastructure to the customer, detailing all construction requirements for the proposed pathways. This role involves conducting commercial walkout surveys to facilitate new services for end users, ensuring compliance with customer and industry standards. Previous experience in commercial surveying is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct commercial walkout surveys to establish new service connections for end users.
  • Ensure all activities adhere to customer and industry specifications.
  • Follow established protocols to create detailed routes from existing infrastructure to customer demarcation, noting all necessary construction types along the proposed path.
  • Gather accurate field data, verify records, and document all pertinent details for aerial and underground telecommunications, including fiber, coaxial cables, poles, pedestals, and more.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in cable mapping is preferred.
  • Familiarity with cable design and basic construction practices for outside plant (OSP) cable systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret maps, drawings, and diagrams related to CATV projects.
  • Strong analytical, observational, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in computer applications including MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and PDF Editor, with a willingness to learn new software and technologies.
  • Experience with digital drawing in software like Bluebeam is a plus.
  • Must demonstrate high levels of responsibility and self-motivation.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Professional communication skills for customer interactions.

Additional Information:

  • This is a full-time, production-oriented position.
  • Local travel is required, with the benefit of returning home each night.
  • Daily field walkout assignments will occur over various terrains and in all weather conditions.
  • A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are mandatory.
  • A company vehicle and necessary tools will be provided.
  • Comprehensive benefits package available.
  • Compensation: This position starts as hourly, transitioning to piece rate upon training completion, with an estimated range of $52,000-$120,000.
