Air Quality Support Specialist

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Air Quality Support Specialist to join our team at the State of Oregon. As an Air Quality Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting the Air Quality Division's mission to protect and improve Oregon's environmental quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the Air Quality Division, including data entry, record-keeping, and document preparation.
- Assist with the development and implementation of air quality policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with other sections and divisions to ensure effective communication and coordination.
- Provide technical support for air quality programs, including point and area source programs.
- Develop and maintain databases, reports, and other tools to support air quality decision-making.
- Communicate with stakeholders, including the public, other government agencies, and private sector organizations.
Requirements:
- 2 years of general clerical experience that included keyboarding, word processing, and generating documents, OR an Associate's degree.
- Demonstrated understanding of the historical impacts on marginalized and underrepresented communities.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and Office products, including Word, Excel, Outlook, OneNote, Teams, and Access.
- Experience using standard office equipment, including desktop and laptop computers, printers, copiers, scanners, and video equipment.
- Experience with databases, including entering data, running reports, and maintaining data integrity.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with an ability to switch priorities or projects seamlessly.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills.
Working Conditions:
This position will be based out of the State of Oregon's Headquarters office in Portland, Oregon. The successful candidate may be eligible for a hybrid work schedule with a minimum of one day a week in the Headquarters office. The logistics of hybrid work will need to be worked out with the Hiring Manager prior to hire and may be changed at any time given specific job duties and business needs.
