Job Summary

This position is for an Aircraft Survival Flight Equipment Specialist, responsible for providing diagnostic, analytical, and maintenance services for aircrew life support equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience in inspecting, testing, and calibrating equipment, as well as providing formal academic classroom and technical instruction to aircrew members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and test aircrew life support equipment to ensure airworthiness and compliance with safety regulations
  • Perform diagnostic and analytical tasks to identify equipment malfunctions and recommend repairs or replacements
  • Provide formal academic classroom and technical instruction to aircrew members on the use and maintenance of aircrew life support equipment
  • Conduct quality control inspections and maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance and repair
  • Utilize computer mainframe programs and databases to analyze and troubleshoot equipment issues
  • Manage and maintain inventory of aircrew life support equipment and munitions
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
  • At least 18 months of experience in inspecting, testing, and maintaining aircrew life support equipment
  • Experience in providing formal academic classroom and technical instruction to aircrew members
  • Ability to understand and interpret military manuals and technical publications
  • Experience in supply procedures and property accountability
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
Working Conditions

The Aircraft Survival Flight Equipment Specialist will work in a variety of environments, including hangars, aircraft, and outdoor settings. The position requires the ability to lift and move heavy equipment, as well as work in extreme temperatures and weather conditions.
