Position Overview

The Facilities Maintenance Supervisor is tasked with overseeing daily operations, guiding, and mentoring team members to ensure a highly efficient workforce that adheres to company standards.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and promote safety and environmental initiatives.
- Actively participate as a member of the leadership team.
- Manage the creation and execution of work scope packages for maintenance outages.
- Supervise the development of work order plans.
- Drive the formulation and execution of outage resource strategies and performance metrics.
- Oversee the planning, scheduling, and budgeting of maintenance activities.
- Coordinate daily performance and management of all maintenance tasks.
- Select and manage contractors and vendors effectively.
- Ensure optimal use of outage controls and performance tracking.
- Foster a culture of productivity and collaboration across Maintenance, Engineering, and Operations.
- Maintain and oversee the outage work order list.
- Provide consistent feedback to team members regarding their performance.
- Ensure the establishment and implementation of departmental goals and initiatives.
- Support and reinforce the significance of safety and environmental practices.
- Ensure cost-effective utilization of resources.
- Assign tasks and hold team members accountable for their performance.
- Conduct field inspections of job sites.
- Identify issues proactively and assist in their resolution.
- Ensure the development and execution of work plans and schedules.
- Maintain a professional relationship with employees in line with company policies.
- Coordinate the application of both internal and external resources to support maintenance operations.
- Develop and maintain long-term, equipment-specific maintenance plans.
- Ensure the performance, coordination, and inspection of maintenance-related work.
- Strive to meet target scores for company performance metrics.
- Oversee the coordination of third-party contractors and vendors.
- Manage the development and implementation of quality assurance programs.
- Actively support the maintenance outage program.
- Provide training to enhance awareness within the organization.
- Develop and maintain written procedures for maintenance activities.
- Ensure compliance with lockout/tagout procedures.
- Create appropriate staffing schedules and response plans.
- Develop and manage departmental budgets related to maintenance operations.

Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:

- High school diploma with 10 years of experience in power plant operations or maintenance, or a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field with 7 years of relevant experience.

- Proven experience in leading and supervising power plant personnel.


Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Combined Cycle Power Plant operations.
- Understanding of quality assurance processes and formal programs.

Additional Skills and Abilities:
- Strong leadership capabilities with a solid grasp of leadership principles.
- Demonstrated behavior that encourages employee engagement.
- Excellent teamwork skills, capable of collaborating across various organizational levels.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work rotating shifts and overtime as necessary.
- Must be capable of safely handling and inspecting equipment containing hazardous materials.
- Frequent climbing of ladders and working from elevated surfaces is required.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Compensation will be based on the successful candidate's qualifications and experience, aligned with market rates.
