Position Overview:

The primary aim of the Fitness Training Supervisor is to enhance member engagement in our premium Personal Training Services, thereby improving retention rates. This will be achieved by surpassing both new client acquisition and existing client retention benchmarks.

The Fitness Training Supervisor will accomplish these goals by:

  1. Overseeing and mentoring the initial engagement process of the CrunchOne Kickoff.
  2. Supervising and guiding the execution of personal training services.
  3. Taking ownership of the client experience throughout their journey with our paid offerings.
The Fitness Training Supervisor is tasked with upholding company standards and leading by example. This role ensures that team members consistently adhere to expectations regarding punctuality, professional appearance, friendliness, and cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Directly engaging in sales by conducting a minimum of 50% of all CrunchOne Kickoffs.
  • Coaching, role-playing, and advising personal trainer direct reports on effective sales techniques.
  • Managing schedules and allocating resources based on various performance indicators.
  • Ensuring effective communication and execution of the Client Journey, particularly during the initial 90 days.
  • Guaranteeing that all Personal Trainers deliver high-quality programs supported by scientific principles.
  • Overseeing the accurate administration of Personal Training Services, including the use of relevant programs and tracking systems.
  • Recruiting, training, and evaluating the performance of a team of qualified Personal Trainers.
  • Conducting regular meetings with direct reports to assess performance and provide direction, motivation, and guidance toward achieving both individual and organizational objectives.
  • Maintaining reports and data for transparency regarding business performance.
  • Communicating insights and improvement plans to upper management.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • In-depth knowledge of personal training methodologies and program development.
  • Strong sales, communication, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Familiarity with Crunch programs and systems.
  • Ability to operate and adjust all fitness equipment.
  • Experience in coaching and motivating groups.
  • Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain a friendly, enthusiastic, and positive demeanor.
  • Strong focus on member service.
  • Professional response to inquiries from guests, members, and staff.
Education Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
  • Current CPR certification is necessary.
Certifications (One or more of the following):
  • ACSM Certified Personal Trainer
  • ACE Personal Trainer Certification
  • The Cooper Institute Personal Trainer Certification
  • IFPA Personal Fitness Trainer Certification
  • NASM Certified Personal Trainer, Corrective Exercise Specialist, or Performance Enhancement Specialist
  • NESTA Personal Fitness Trainer Certification
  • NFPT Personal Trainer Certification
  • NSCA Certified Personal Trainer or Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist
Experience:
  • 1-2 years of experience as a Personal Trainer is preferred.
  • Prior management experience in a retail or hospitality setting leading a team of 3-10 employees is preferred.
  • Consultative sales experience is advantageous.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to work in an office environment; navigate club floors and rooms; review, revise, and create documentation; communicate effectively with employees, members, and the public.
  • Regularly required to demonstrate or explain proper fitness activities, techniques, and procedures. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
