Real Estate Development Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Real Estate Development Specialist to join our team at Evernorth. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing real estate development activities to achieve organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze the feasibility of new project opportunities and prepare project proformas.
- Develop and manage project pipelines, including due diligence, design, and construction services.
- Write applications for public financing and negotiate with local partners and municipal officials.
- Coordinate with the development team to secure all required local and state permits.
- Consult with the Director of Asset Management on project operating budgets.
- Develop and maintain accurate electronic and paper files for projects.
- Participate in the construction closing and permanent loan closing process.
- Manage the collection of data and update the project pipeline tracking tool.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, with postgraduate work or professional training preferred.
- Valid Driver's license with insurance.
- OSHA 10 certification completed within three months of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in real estate development, preferably in affordable rental housing development.
- Familiarity with applicable housing programs and regulations, environmental regulations, and state and local permitting processes.
- Knowledge of federal and state funding programs, Section 42 of the IRS Code (LIHTC), and Rehabilitation Investment Tax Credit (RITC).
