Senior Electrical Engineer, Product Development Specialist

As a Senior Electrical Engineer, Product Development Specialist, you will be a key member of our Heart Failure/Mechanical Circulatory Support (HF/MCS) R&D organization. You will lead new product development activities, including requirements definition, feasibility testing, electrical design, updates, and documentation. You will also be responsible for verification testing, component evaluation, and qualification, as well as support of cross-functional project teams.
The selected candidate will apply electrical engineering knowledge to lead product development activities, manage battery testing, lead design reviews, develop and execute electrical test protocols, write test reports, develop test fixtures and automation, and support other general design and development activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead electrical engineering activities
- Develop and execute V&V test protocols
- Develop test methods, test fixtures, and automation software
- Support execution and management of logistics for external testing
- Participate in technical design reviews on electrical designs
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, biomedical engineering, or related field plus 5+ years of experience
- Master's degree in electrical engineering, biomedical engineering, or related field plus 3+ years of experience
- Minimum 3+ years of relevant electrical engineering experience in electrical design and development or other regulated industries
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in electrical engineering, biomedical engineering, or related field
- Experience with battery technologies and solutions
- Understanding of good documentation practices
- Good project management skills
- Good hands-on analog and digital circuit design experience for embedded systems
