Lincoln Public Schools is seeking individuals to provide academic support and tutoring to students in AVID elective classes.

The ideal candidate will be currently enrolled in college or have an associate's degree or higher. They will be responsible for assisting and supporting students academically in a 6th through 12th grade setting.

Tutorials will occur on Tuesdays and Thursdays in AVID classes as scheduled by individual buildings. The work schedule will be established by the AVID Curriculum Specialist at LPS. Training will also be provided and must be completed prior to working directly with students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide academic support and tutoring to students in AVID elective classes
  • Assist and support students academically in a 6th through 12th grade setting
  • Work with students to develop and implement individualized learning plans
  • Communicate effectively with students, teachers, and other school staff

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in college or have an associate's degree or higher
  • Ability to work with students in a 6th through 12th grade setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
