Job Description

As a key member of the Albireo Energy team, the System Specialist II - EPMS will be responsible for providing the execution for HVAC Building Automation projects, to include:

  • Compliance and Enforcement: Ensure adherence to company Health, Safety and Environment policies, as well as governmental policies and regulations.
  • Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering: Engineer, test, and commission electrical, instrumentation, and control systems, including meters, PLCs, SERs, LV and MV breakers, UPS systems, Generators, etc.
  • Project Documentation: Develop necessary project documentation, such as network topology, BOM, project schedule, and close-out documentation.
  • System Integration: Program, configure, and troubleshoot interfaces to PLC/HMI/Power Meters/SCADA systems.
  • Vendor and Customer Interface: Interface and communicate with vendors, process engineering, installation contractors, and project management.
  • Customer Support: Provide guidance to customers and electrical contractors for proper PMS systems installation.
  • Commissioning and Start-up: Hands-on support for commissioning and start-up activities.
  • Professional Image: Maintain a professional manner to enhance the company's image with customers.
  • Work Practice Improvement: Participate in standardizing and improving work practices.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Requirements: Applicants must pass a 10-year background check and drug screenings.
  • Travel Requirements: For now, PHX is a local base, but depending on the work, there may be a need to travel in the future.

Requirements

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 5+ years of related work experience.
  • Skills: Knowledge of networks, communication protocols, and strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Communication: Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Safety: Understands and applies safety procedures.
  • Time Management: Time and task management skills.
  • Electrical Knowledge: Ability to read and understand electrical diagrams.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to use hand tools and operate test equipment, ability to work on construction sites with a diverse group of people in varied weather conditions, and ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • SCADA and Network Configuration: SCADA and network configuration and troubleshooting experience.
  • Requested Skills:
    • Data Centers: Knowledge of data centers projects/construction processes.
    • Fiber Optics: Knowledge of fiber optics, fiber networks, and network redundancy.
    • Fault Tolerant Systems: Knowledge of fault-tolerant and fail-safe system design.
    • Power Monitoring: Power monitoring experience.
    • Software Experience: Experience with Citect, PSO/PSE, Wonderware, or PME, Ignition.
    • PLCs: Experience with PLCs.
    • Certifications: PMP/PE/CEM/NETA/EIT certifications or licenses.
    • HVAC Experience: HVAC experience.
    • OSHA and NFPA: OSHA 10 and NFPA 70e certifications.
