Our Mission

Our team continuously innovates to navigate the evolving investment landscape while safeguarding and growing the assets of the WRS.

Team Overview

The Public Equities division, comprising 13 professionals, manages up to $12 billion in assets under management (AUM). The division operates two distinct portfolios: a small-cap domestic portfolio and a global portfolio, with the current opening focused on the global portfolio.

Role Summary

The successful candidate will collaborate closely with fellow equity team members, contributing to investment ideas and analyzing macroeconomic developments. Primarily functioning as an equity research analyst, the individual will also assist in managing the global equity portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

- Implement investment decisions within defined asset classes to achieve positive performance.
- Provide high-conviction recommendations driven by unique risk assessments.
- Foster a collaborative culture within the Global Equity team and across SWIB.
- Analyze market conditions to develop informed investment opinions.
- Conduct fundamental research to select investments based on business model evaluations and valuation analyses.
- Deliver comprehensive written and oral reports on recommendations and industry developments.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess:
- A minimum of two years of experience in equity research, preferably within smid/mid/large cap strategies.
- A proven track record of strong, risk-adjusted investment performance.
- Skills in fundamental analysis and the ability to articulate investment theses clearly.
- Excellent teamwork and stakeholder management abilities.
- A Bachelor's degree is required; a Master's degree and CFA designation are strongly preferred.
