Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Marketing and Communications Intern to join our team at WiCell Research Institute. As a Marketing and Communications Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in marketing and communications while contributing to groundbreaking work in the regenerative medicine and life sciences fields.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the development and implementation of marketing and communications strategies to promote WiCell's research and initiatives.
  • Design and create visual content, including print and digital media, to support marketing and communications efforts.
  • Update and maintain WiCell's website, ensuring accuracy and consistency of information.
  • Craft and disseminate social media content to engage with stakeholders and promote WiCell's work.
  • Monitor and report on key marketing metrics to inform future marketing and communications strategies.
Requirements:
  • Working towards an associate or bachelor's degree in a life sciences program with an interest in marketing or communication, or a degree in design, marketing, or communication with a specific interest in science.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational, and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Confidentiality and ability to multitask.
  • Prior experience creating content with the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) or similar is strongly preferred.

  • A competitive hourly rate of $15 per hour.

  • A flexible schedule, with the opportunity to work approximately 8-15 hours per week during the school year and additional hours during the summer and school breaks.
