Team Overview
The Public Equities division is a dynamic team of 13 professionals managing approximately $12 billion in assets under management (AUM). We currently operate two distinct portfolios: a small-cap domestic portfolio and a global portfolio, with this position focusing on the latter.

Position Summary
The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with fellow equity team members, engaging in discussions about investment opportunities, industry trends, and macroeconomic impacts. This role primarily involves functioning as an equity research analyst while also contributing to the management of the global equity portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute investment decisions within established guidelines to achieve positive net investment performance.
  • Develop high-conviction recommendations characterized by significant active share, driven by unique risk factors.
  • Promote a collaborative culture within the Global Equity team and across SWIB.
  • Conduct thorough market analysis to formulate informed investment opinions.
  • Select investments based on comprehensive fundamental research, including assessments of business models, valuation, and industry dynamics.
  • Deliver written and verbal research reports, providing updates on recommendations and relevant industry developments.

Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will possess:
  • A minimum of two years of experience in equity research, focusing on smid/mid/large cap equity strategies, ideally with a background spanning two to ten years.
  • A proven track record of strong, risk-adjusted investment performance, demonstrating the ability to deliver impactful research and investment ideas.
  • Skills in fundamental business model analysis and financial statement evaluation, with the capacity to articulate investment theses clearly.
  • Strong prioritization skills, independent judgment, and the ability to make informed investment decisions.
  • Excellent teamwork, collaboration, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Well-developed problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
  • A Bachelor's degree is required; a Master's degree and CFA designation are strongly preferred.
