This role offers a hybrid work arrangement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Comprehensive Data Analysis and Reporting:
    • Perform extensive evaluations of sales metrics, market trends, and consumer behaviors to pinpoint critical growth drivers and opportunities.
    • Lead the examination of intricate data sets to uncover patterns and trends, offering data-driven suggestions for category enhancement.
    • Generate regular reports and presentations regarding category performance, market dynamics, and strategic initiatives for executive leadership.
  • Strategic Market Research:
    • Formulate data strategies and budgets to ensure access to relevant channels and information.
    • Assess the competitive landscape and market dynamics to guide category strategies and identify potential risks and opportunities.
    • Deliver insights on market segmentation, product positioning, and target demographics to aid in strategic planning.
  • Category Strategy and Development:
    • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Product Development teams to create and implement comprehensive category strategies that align with organizational goals.
    • Provide expert guidance on product assortment, pricing strategies, promotional activities, and merchandising tactics.
    • Assist Sales with data and insights presentations to strengthen relationships with key retail partners and support negotiations for category placement and promotional backing.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, economics, or a related discipline.
  • 3-5 years of experience in category management, data analysis, market research, or a similar role within the CPG industry.
  • Robust analytical skills with expertise in data analysis tools, including scanner data (Nielsen) and company financials (NetSuite).
  • Proven experience in leading complex data analysis initiatives and providing strategic insights.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and persuade stakeholders at various levels.
  • Strong project management capabilities and the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • A proactive and strategic approach with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
  • A collaborative team player in a fast-paced setting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Sports Nutrition and/or Personal Care categories.
  • Understanding of retail merchandising and supply chain management.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing and e-commerce strategies.
  • MBA degree.
