Position Overview:

We are in search of a dynamic, results-driven project professional to oversee implementation initiatives within our expanding software and services organization. The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in software deployments, encompassing requirements analysis, environment configuration, installation, customization, training, launch support, and ongoing assistance.

The Software Implementation Specialist (SIS) will serve as a vital member of the Litigation team, tasked with delivering contracted products and services, including reports, business rules, and software configurations. The SIS will act as the primary liaison for clients, managing and executing various tasks throughout the configuration process. This role demands expertise in Journal Technologies' product suite, our internal implementation methodologies, and the operational processes of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Configure case management software utilizing the built-in administrative user interface, including forms, searches, and workflows.
  • Develop business rules within the software using Groovy and Velocity.
  • Collect specifications for and evaluate data conversion processes.
  • Engage in document/report specification gathering, development, and review.
  • Conduct on-site administrative and user training, along with go-live support.
  • Demonstrate fluency in Java.
  • Possess knowledge of Windows Server environments and networking.
  • Understand interfacing with REST and SOAP APIs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with a solid understanding of project management principles.
  • 5+ years of full-time professional experience in querying relational databases, preferably TSQL or PL/SQL.
  • Demonstrated experience as an Implementation Specialist in a comparable environment.
  • Proven ability to maintain focus and effectively manage multiple priorities.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft SQL or Oracle databases, and reporting tools such as Jasper or Crystal Reports, Microsoft SQL Reporting Services, Java, Groovy, and Velocity.
  • Capacity to exhibit learning agility and critical thinking.
  • Strong client relationship management skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team setting.
  • Proficient in recognizing and escalating procedural issues as they arise.
  • Ability to grasp and apply fundamental concepts in new contexts.
  • Proficiency in contemporary web technologies and various operating systems.
  • Exceptional analytical and time management skills.
