HealthWest is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team of healthcare professionals. As a key member of our behavioral health team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical services to patients with medical and behavioral health problems.
Key Responsibilities- Provide initial and ongoing consultation and support to medical providers and clinic staff regarding behavioral health services.
- Integrate behavioral health best practices into program design and delivery.
- Supervise behavioral health providers and provide training and orientation to primary care providers on behavioral health.
- Help with submission of grants to expand behavioral health services.
- Conduct clinical assessments of mental and behavioral health conditions and make treatment recommendations.
- Provide direct clinical therapy services to patients and provide crisis support services as needed.
- Provide behavioral health consultation/integration services to patients as needed, including warm hand offs and brief interventions.
- Provide psychological assessment/testing services to patients and maintain timely, accurate, and appropriate records.
- Participate in quality improvement activities and implement Patient Centered Medical Home practices.
- Comply with HealthWest Inc. Policies and Procedures.
- Licensed Psychologist, PhD or PsyD.
- Three (3) or more years relevant experience in clinical psychology.
- Licensed in the State of Utah as a Psychologist.
- Ability to make quick and accurate clinical assessments of mental and behavioral conditions.
- Ability to work effectively as a team, interfacing with patients, their support systems, primary care providers, consulting psychiatrist and mental health specialists, as well as with administrative and support staff.
- Experience in delivering services to medically underserved populations.
- Experience with crisis intervention.
- Multicultural competence as evidenced by education, training, and/or experience.
