Job Summary
HealthWest is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team of healthcare professionals. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality behavioral health services to our patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide initial and ongoing consultation and support to medical providers and clinic staff regarding behavioral health services.
- Integrate behavioral health best practices into program design and delivery.
- Supervise behavioral health providers, including licensed clinical social workers and interns/externs.
- Provide training and orientation to primary care providers on behavioral health.
- Help with submission of grants to expand behavioral health services.
- Conduct clinical assessments of mental and behavioral health conditions and make treatment recommendations.
- Provide direct clinical therapy services to patients.
- Provide crisis support services as needed.
- Provide behavioral health consultation/integration services to patients as needed, including warm hand offs and brief interventions.
- Provide psychological assessment/testing services to patients.
- Maintain timely, accurate, and appropriate records.
- Participate in quality improvement activities.
- Implement Patient Centered Medical Home practices.
- Comply with HealthWest Inc. Policies and Procedures.
Requirements
- Licensed Psychologist, PhD or PsyD.
- Three (3) or more years relevant experience in clinical psychology.
- Licensed in the State of Idaho as a Psychologist.
- Ability to make quick and accurate clinical assessments of mental and behavioral conditions.
- Ability to work effectively as a team, interfacing with patients, their support systems, primary care providers, consulting psychiatrist and mental health specialists, as well as with administrative and support staff.
- Experience in delivering services to medically underserved populations.
- Experience with crisis intervention.
- Multicultural competence as evidenced by education, training, and/or experience.
