As a prominent leader in the design and manufacturing of amusement rides and roller coasters, we are in search of a full-time Electrical Engineering Manager to enhance our Engineering department.

Position Overview: The Electrical Engineering Manager is responsible for providing technical guidance and resource management for the design and programming of electrical systems and controls for major amusement attractions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with project managers and the Engineering Director to outline the electrical and control system requirements for new initiatives.
  • Organize team assignments and modify priorities as necessary to align with the overarching engineering timeline.
  • Assist the Engineering Director in budgeting, resource allocation, and scheduling for the electrical design and engineering team.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of new project electrical systems, which includes: functional specifications, safety assessments, documentation, input/output lists, schematics, hardware design and layout, cabling requirements, assembly, factory checklists, acceptance testing, and installation oversight.
  • Evaluate and authorize all design and engineering outputs through the Engineering Change Order (ECO) process.
  • Ensure compliance of the UL508A panel shop with applicable codes, standards, and best practices.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or controls programming from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience with PLCs, sensor and actuator technologies, and user interface implementation.
  • Proficiency in creating and managing project timelines.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with engineering teams and clients.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in multi-disciplinary project design, coordinating with mechanical, structural, and electrical engineering disciplines.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in SolidWorks or similar CAD software.
  • Familiarity with international amusement ride design standards.
  • Proven track record in team leadership and managing engineering professionals.
  • Creative problem-solving skills, a solid work ethic, and meticulous attention to detail.
