Job Summary

As an Automotive Service Manager at Hellman Chevrolet, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring that our customers receive the highest level of service for their vehicle needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Interaction: Greet customers in a timely and friendly manner, obtain vehicle information, and provide a complete and accurate written cost estimate for labor and parts.
  • Service Coordination: Schedule service appointments, obtain customer and vehicle data prior to arrival, and notify the dispatcher of incoming work.
  • Repair Order Management: Prepare repair orders, obtain customer's signature, and provide a copy to the customer.
  • Quality Control: Implement and maintain a quality control process to eliminate comebacks and ensure high customer satisfaction standards.
  • Marketing and Sales: Implement and maintain a service marketing program, review repair orders to ensure that work is completed, and close repair orders as appropriate.
  • Administrative Tasks: Keep service department forms, menus, and pricing guides up-to-date, and ensure that vehicles are parked in assigned areas and locked with keys marked and put away correctly.
Requirements:
  • Basic Understanding of Automotive Repair and Diagnostics: Must have a basic understanding of automotive repair and diagnostics to effectively communicate with customers and technicians.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills to interact with customers, technicians, and other staff members.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities.
  • Attention to Detail: Attention to detail to ensure accuracy and completeness of repair orders and customer interactions.
