Job Summary

The Night Auditor is responsible for overseeing the front desk operations during late-night hours, ensuring seamless guest check-ins and check-outs, and maintaining accurate records. This role requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage front desk operations during late-night hours, including guest check-ins and check-outs.
  • Verify and balance credit card drafts, file credit cards and keys, and complete express checkout envelopes.
  • Assist guests with general services, such as check cashing, making change, and answering questions about hotel services and amenities.
  • Ensure the Property Management System is backed up nightly and stored in a secure location.
  • Handle wake-up calls, receive and transmit mail, phone, and written messages for guests, and post room charges and food and beverage charges.
  • Balance accounts to zero and inform management of any discrepancies.
  • Prepare daily revenue reports and input daily summary records and same-day selling strategy reports.
  • Represent the hotel in regard to guest complaints and situations that require immediate attention.
Requirements
  • High school diploma and some college preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of front desk experience.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Reliable transportation.
