Responsibilities:- Process all student workers full cycle hiring process.
- Process required documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record-keeping and proper deductions.
- Assist hiring managers with processing of HRAFs for student workers.
- Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- Verification of Employment Requests (calculating and completing any mortgage verifications received, typing letters, providing employment information for various requests).
- Establishes Active Directory (AD), Name Change and Title Changes with ITS: Generate daily tickets for any Active Directory Accounts to establish e-mail and accesses to other systems (Banner, Peoplesoft).
- Process name changes and Title changes in Samanage Ticketing System with ITS.
- Manages assigned projects and ensuring it meets predetermined requirements.
- Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.
- Completes Forms I-9, verifies I-9 documentation and maintains I-9 files.
- Submits online investigation requests and assists with new-employee background checks.
- Assists with processing of terminations.
- Assists with the preparation of the performance review process.
- Assists with recruitment and interview process. Tracks status of candidates in HRIS and responds with follow-up letters at the end of the recruiting process.
- Schedules meetings and interviews as requested by the director of HR.
- Makes photocopies; mails, scans and emails documents; and performs other clerical functions.
- Files documents into appropriate employee files.
- Assists or prepares correspondence as requested.
- Prepares new-employee files.
- Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field or a combination of training and equivalent experience.
- At least one year of human resources experience.
- Two years of experience with Microsoft Office Suite or related software, especially Excel.
- 2-3 years of experience working in a HR department.
- PeopleSoft experience.
Salary range is from $37,000 to $45,000.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:- Knowledge of human resource principles, practices and procedures.
- Knowledge of Human Resources systems and databases.
- Knowledge of Human Resources Management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent and precise data entry and typing skills.
