Compensation: $70,000 to $72,000 annually plus potential 5% bonus, contingent on qualifications such as CDM or RD.

Your Role

The Nutritional Services Manager is essential in safeguarding the health of residents by supervising their dietary care and leading the health center team. This position is crucial for delivering exceptional nutrition education and enhancing nutrition services within a premium senior living environment.

Key responsibilities encompass daily collaboration with the Food Service Director and other onsite personnel to ensure smooth operations. The Nutritional Services Manager will also interact directly with residents, nursing staff, and caregivers, fostering a cooperative atmosphere. Furthermore, this role entails overseeing kitchen operations for health center meals and managing Dietary Aides within the Health Center, ensuring adherence to nutritional standards and resident satisfaction.

This position involves:

  • Managing the daily functions of a health center, ensuring quality patient care from all staff members.
  • Leading the culinary team within the Health Center.
  • Conducting timely assessments of patients, including weight checks and calorie counts, and effectively communicating with the attending Registered Dietitian.
  • Serving as a liaison for the patient's nutritional care with the Dietitian.
  • Maintaining accurate medical records for all patients while ensuring confidentiality.
  • Reviewing menus based on patient requirements.
  • Responding to inquiries from residents, families, and other healthcare providers.
  • Building strong relationships with medical professionals and promoting Nutrition Services within the senior living community.
  • Participating in required meetings and training sessions.
  • Conducting regular chart audits to ensure complete and accurate documentation.
  • Engaging in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the overall quality of care at the health center.
  • Staying informed about current trends in healthcare delivery and recommending necessary changes.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in nutrition or related field from an accredited institution is preferred.
  • Certification as a Dietary Manager or Registered Dietitian is mandatory.
  • 3-5 years of management experience, ideally in a healthcare context.
  • Proven ability to lead and inspire teams to achieve objectives.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • ServSafe Certification and State Food Handlers Card are required.
  • Successful candidates must meet eligibility criteria, including the ability to undergo and successfully complete a criminal background check and drug screening as per applicable State laws and regulations.
  • Ability to provide documentation for work authorization. We utilize E-Verify to confirm employee eligibility to work in the United States.
