Compensation:
$70,000 to $72,000 annually plus a 5% bonus potential, based on your qualifications as a CDM or RD.

Your Role

The Nutritional Services Manager is essential in safeguarding the health of residents by managing their dietary care and supervising the health center team. This position is crucial for delivering top-notch nutrition education and enhancing nutrition services within an upscale senior living environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations of the health center, ensuring all staff deliver exceptional patient care.
  • Lead the culinary team within the Health Center.
  • Conduct regular patient screenings, including weight and calorie assessments, and communicate findings to the attending Registered Dietitian.
  • Act as a liaison for patients' nutritional care with the Dietitian.
  • Maintain accurate medical records for all patients while ensuring confidentiality.
  • Review menus based on patient needs.
  • Respond to inquiries from residents, families, and healthcare providers.
  • Foster strong relationships with medical professionals and promote Nutrition Services within the community.
  • Participate in meetings and training sessions as required.
  • Perform regular chart audits to ensure documentation accuracy.
  • Engage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the overall quality of care.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in nutrition or food science from an accredited institution is preferred.
  • Certification as a Dietary Manager or Registered Dietitian is mandatory.
  • 3-5 years of management experience, ideally in a healthcare setting.
  • Proven ability to lead and inspire teams to achieve objectives.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

ServSafe Certification and State Food Handlers Card are required. Candidates must meet eligibility criteria, including the ability to successfully complete a criminal background check and drug screening in accordance with applicable state laws.
