About the Role

**Job Summary**

The Certified Dietary Manager plays a vital role in ensuring the well-being of residents by overseeing their nutritional care and managing the health center staff. This position is crucial for delivering high-quality nutrition education and promoting nutrition services within an upscale senior living community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the daily operations of a health center, ensuring that all staff members are providing quality patient care.
  • Lead the culinary team in the Health Center.
  • Conduct timely screening of patients, weight screening, and calorie counts and accurately communicate to the attending Registered Dietitian.
  • Act as a liaison on behalf of the patient's nutritional care with the Dietitian.
  • Keep accurate medical records for all patients and maintain confidentiality of all information.
  • Review menu as patient requirements indicate.
  • Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries from residents/patients, families, and other health care providers.
  • Foster good relationships with medical practitioners and generally promote Nutrition Services within the senior living community.
  • Attend meetings and trainings as required by the community.
  • Perform chart audits on a regular basis to ensure that documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve the overall quality of care at the health center.
  • Maintain knowledge of current trends in health care delivery and make recommendations for changes as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's and/or advanced degree in nutrition of foods and nutrition from an accredited school, preferred.
  • Certified Dietary Manager Certification or Registered Dietitian certification is required.
  • 3-5 years' experience in a management role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Proven track record of leading and motivating teams to achieve results.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • ServSafe Certification and State Food Handlers Card
