About the Role:

The Jackson Laboratory is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Security Officer to join our team. As a Security Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our employees, visitors, contractors, and guests on our campus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies, providing aid and assistance as needed.
  • Protect and safeguard all Jackson Laboratory assets and property, including monitoring security systems and responding to alarms.
  • Perform security patrols across the campus, monitoring CCTV cameras and responding to requests for assistance.
  • Maintain Basic First Aid and Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation certifications and render aid when needed.

Requirements:

  • Previous security experience preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent, with a degree in Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, or a related field preferred.
  • Ability to read and record security control systems and alert personnel/management of critical/unusual situations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in emergency situations, with a strong sense of judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Valid driver's license.
