Position Overview:

The Security Operations Officer plays a crucial role in upholding all policies to guarantee a safe, equitable, and efficient operation within the casino, while delivering exceptional guest service throughout the premises.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Monitor the facility's three entrances around the clock, ensuring the safety of guests as they enter and exit.
  2. Verify the identification of individuals entering the casino in accordance with state regulations.
  3. Oversee the Security Dispatch Center 24/7, managing phone communications, radio transmissions, and surveillance monitoring.
  4. Maintain a comprehensive CAD (computer-aided dispatch) log for all service requests.
  5. Manage the Card and Destruction Room daily, ensuring the inspection and cancellation of all gaming materials removed from the floor.
  6. Operate the Badging Office, creating and updating identification badges for staff, vendors, and visitors.
  7. Possess an in-depth understanding of all casino facilities.
  8. Assist guests by providing information and directing them to appropriate resources.
  9. Conduct patrols of parking areas and assist with employee badge distribution.
  10. Report any hazardous conditions that may pose risks to guests or employees.
  11. Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in reading and writing English.
  • Minimum age of 18 years.
  • Availability for overnight shifts.
  • Previous customer service experience is preferred.

Licensing Requirements:

  • Gaming License from the Rhode Island Department of Business Regulations.
  • Serve Safe Certification.
  • Rhode Island Driver Operator License.

Physical and Mental Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, climb, carry, hear, bend, and stoop.
  • Manual dexterity and attention to detail are essential.
  • Regular use of eye-hand coordination.
