We are currently seeking a temporary addition to our Credit and Collections team for a six-month period. This role will serve as the primary liaison between our Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) team and the local finance and commercial departments, focusing on effective cash collection and debt management.
Key Responsibilities:- Unapplied Cash Management: Ensure timely processing of all assigned unapplied cash from the BPO on a weekly basis.
- Accounts Receivable Collections: Oversee collections for accounts receivable.
- Event Monitoring: Review aging reports for events and proactively follow up on those with potential collection risks.
- Aged Debt Reporting: Generate monthly reports on aged debt status for events and present findings to the VP of Finance.
- Onsite Collections: Attend events as necessary to facilitate collections in person.
- Escalated OMS Management: Address escalated OMS issues from the BPO on a weekly basis.
- Monthly OMS Meetings: Participate in monthly meetings to discuss over 90-day OMS cases.
- Billing Coordination: Act as a point of contact between local finance/commercial teams and the BPO for billing inquiries.
- Risk Identification: Assess customer non-payment risks and recommend credit holds in relevant systems.
- Revenue Reconciliation: Conduct weekly reconciliations of attendee revenue for applicable events.
- Litigation Liaison: Collaborate with commercial teams on matters related to litigation and further collection actions.
- Credit Control Resolution: Facilitate dispute resolution between commercial/local finance teams and the BPO.
- Bad Debt Management: Assist in the approval process for bad debt write-offs and sales credits.
- Process Improvement: Identify and suggest opportunities for enhancing operational processes.
- Escheatment Support: Manage the escheatment process, coordinating with customers and service providers.
- Integration Assistance: Support local finance and commercial teams during the acquisition of new entities.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in B2B collections.
- Proven expertise in credit management.
- Strong ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Dependable and accountable for personal actions.
- Customer-focused with a service-oriented mindset.
- Willingness to take on additional responsibilities as needed.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with clients and internal teams.
- Flexibility to travel for onsite collections when required.
