Position Overview
We are currently seeking a Regional Microbiology Manager who will act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for microbiology-related matters impacting our nutrition facilities. This role involves coordinating efforts between the affected plants and our broader R&D Quality Assurance teams to swiftly address emerging microbiological quality challenges.

Key Responsibilities
As a Regional Microbiology Manager, your primary duties will include:
  • Supporting plant microbiology and quality teams in conducting hazard analyses and risk assessments related to microbiological threats.
  • Leading root-cause investigations for microbiological issues and ensuring thorough review and interpretation of microbiological data to drive enhancements.
  • Acting as the SME for the implementation of Environmental Monitoring Programs (EMP) and hygiene protocols.
  • Collaborating with R&D to ensure that processes developed can be replicated in commercial settings while maintaining microbiological integrity.
  • Designing and managing research projects that support the microbiological safety and quality of nutritional products.

Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Microbiology or a closely related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
  • Experience in managing projects and workgroups, with a strong focus on detail and accuracy.
  • A comprehensive understanding of food safety microbiology, ideally with experience in the food, pharmaceutical, or healthcare industries.
