Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security and Safety Officer to join our team at Marriott International Inc. As a Security and Safety Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our guests, employees, and property.

Key Responsibilities

  • Patrol all areas of the property to prevent and detect crime, and to ensure the safety and security of guests and employees.
  • Monitor Closed Circuit Televisions, perimeter alarm system, duress alarms, and fire life safety system to ensure the safety and security of the property.
  • Lock property entrances when required to prevent unauthorized access.
  • Conduct daily physical hazard inspections to identify and mitigate potential safety hazards.
  • Respond to accidents, contact EMS or administer first aid/CPR as required to ensure the safety and well-being of guests and employees.
  • Assist guests and employees during emergency situations to ensure their safety and well-being.
  • Notify appropriate individuals in the event of accidents, attacks, or other incidents to ensure a prompt and effective response.
  • Defuse guest and employee disturbances to maintain a safe and secure environment.
  • Call for outside assistance if necessary to ensure the safety and security of the property and its occupants.
  • Complete incident reports to document all Security and Loss Prevention related incidents to ensure accountability and compliance.
  • Handle all interruptions and complaints in a professional and courteous manner to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Resolve safety hazard situations to ensure the safety and well-being of guests and employees.
  • Escort any unwelcome persons from the property without interrupting the orderly flow of property operation.
  • Report to scenes of vehicle accidents and thefts to ensure a prompt and effective response.
  • Call for assistance using proper code responses to ensure a prompt and effective response.
  • Complete a Loss Prevention shift summary/daily activity report to ensure accountability and compliance.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all Security and Loss Prevention and property reports/documents to ensure the integrity of the property and its occupants.
  • Conduct investigations and gather evidence to ensure accountability and compliance.
  • Conduct interviews with relevant parties to ensure a thorough and effective investigation.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • No related work experience required.
  • No supervisory experience required.
  • No license or certification required.
