About the Role

Aon is seeking an experienced Account Specialist to join our team in Lincolnshire, IL. As an Account Specialist, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional client service and ensuring the timely and accurate processing of insurance-related tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Resolve client inquiries and issues related to Aon's Client Services (ACS) delivery, including output delivery, invoice inquiries, and other complex tasks.
  • Identify and retrieve relevant compliance documentation for renewals, invoices, and other ACS deliverables.
  • Perform tasks such as initiating renewals, processing invoices, issuing auto IDs, and resolving premium account discrepancies.
  • Mentor and assist junior staff with more complex account functions.
  • React to field office requests via Broker Desktop tools and ensure timely and accurate outputs.
  • Ensure the accuracy and currency of the system of record (Bridge & Broker Desktop) to meet client expectations.
  • Liaise with outsourced providers to manage and ensure the timeliness and quality of outputs.
  • Upload, index, or attach documents in the Document Management System.
  • Perform pre-renewal account reviews with the field office to meet client expectations.
  • Help colleagues troubleshoot and resolve client issues within the ACS team.
  • Upon policy placement, create policy summaries, schedules of insurance, calculate premium allocations, and provide quality review of all post-placement outputs.
  • Manage and monitor special client projects.
  • Participate in office and client visits.
Requirements
  • Commercial insurance experience is a plus.
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with external and internal clients on client servicing activities.
  • Understanding of operation processes and methodologies, with proven ability to work effectively with moderate guidance and supervision.
  • Strong Excel skills to import/export data, strong Word skills, and some v-lookup experience is a plus.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced output-driven environment that requires staff members to multi-task, react quickly, and perform tasks that are not routine.
  • Must maintain appropriate insurance brokers' license or obtain within 6 months of hire.
