Credit and Collections Specialist II

Job Summary:
Sysmex is seeking a highly skilled Credit and Collections Specialist II to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for determining credit worthiness of new customers and monitoring on-going credit ratings for existing customers. This role requires excellent communication skills, strong customer service skills, and the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify processes that require improvement and execute such improvements across the team and work cross functionally with other departments.
- Train peers on all processes related to Credit and Collections.
- Provide excellent customer service regarding collection or payment issues.
- Monitor the aging of customer invoices and take actions to collect on outstanding balances for assigned accounts.
- Establish reliable payer contacts and build relationships with customers.
- Answer in-bound phone calls from customers and provide first call resolution.
- Run credit checks and evaluate credit worthiness for new customers.
- Monitor on-going credit rating of customer base to assess risk to company.
- Communicate and follow up effectively with cross-functional teams regarding customer accounts and resolution of customer invoice disputes.
- Maintain accurate records and notes of collection activity in systems and provide reports on activities as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree preferred.
- At least 3 years of Customer Service, Collections, or Analyst experience required.
- Association affiliation with AR related organizations a plus.
- Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook proficient.
- SAP experience required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to recognize patterns and analyze data.
- Outgoing personality.
- Strong customer service skills. Ability to influence others.
