Job Description

At J R CARLSON LABORATORIES INC, we are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounting Associate/AR Specialist to support our financial operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounts receivable processes, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and apply incoming customer cash receipts to correct invoices in the accounting system, researching and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Prepare and submit bank deposits electronically and in person.
  • Monitor outstanding accounts receivables and follow up on past due accounts.
  • Effectively communicate with customers to resolve issues and collect payments.
  • Develop and maintain various cash receipt and accounting Excel spreadsheets that drive journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Provide backup support for other accounting positions as needed.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience with cash application, accounting systems, and Excel.
  • Able to identify and resolve issues.
  • Willingness to take on additional responsibilities when needed.
  • Ability to provide excellent service to both external and internal customers.
