About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Operations Center (SOC) Executive Director to join our team at The University of Kentucky Police Department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of security strategies and policies to ensure the safety and security of the university community.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the SOC, including the management of security personnel and resources.
  • Collaborate with university administrators, faculty, and staff to identify and mitigate security risks.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local law enforcement agencies and other external partners to enhance security and emergency response capabilities.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging security threats and trends, and implement best practices to ensure the university's security posture remains strong.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a related field, such as criminal justice, security management, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a senior leadership role in law enforcement or a related field.
  • Proven track record of success in developing and implementing security strategies and policies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
