You will be the first point of contact for emergency situations and will be responsible for responding to calls for assistance.
Key Responsibilities- Provide law enforcement and security services to the VETERANS HEALTH ADMINISTRATION, including responding to emergency situations and conducting investigations.
- Patrol hospital grounds and buildings to prevent and detect crime, and to ensure the safety and security of patients, visitors, and staff.
- Conduct interviews and gather information to investigate crimes and incidents.
- Prepare and submit reports of incidents and crimes.
- Collaborate with other law enforcement agencies and hospital staff to ensure a safe and secure environment.
- Participate in training and professional development to stay up-to-date on the latest law enforcement and security techniques and procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Ability to pass a background check and obtain a security clearance.
- Ability to work a varied schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects, and to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Associate's or bachelor's degree in law enforcement or a related field.
- Previous experience in law enforcement or a related field.
- Knowledge of law enforcement procedures and protocols.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and staff.
