Job Summary

Noblis MSD is seeking a skilled Test Engineer to support the US Navy by providing installation and testing support, development of simulation equipment, and system setups/tests in both a lab environment and US Navy shipboard systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide installation and testing support for industrial control systems
  • Develop and follow test procedures for software and hardware testing
  • Use test equipment and hand tools in an electronics lab environment
  • Develop and improve internal procedures, templates, standards, and other documents
  • Assess and perform industry standard test methods and custom test methods for industrial automation systems and machinery control systems
  • Develop and perform software tests, focusing on integration testing, system testing, performance testing, and usability testing
  • Communicate directly with software developers to understand software requirements
  • Thoroughly document bugs discovered during testing and make recommendations to developers
  • Identify opportunities for automation to improve operational efficiency and test coverage
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering
  • 1-3 years of experience in electrical or computer engineering
  • Knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of industrial control systems
  • Proficiency in reading electrical diagrams
  • Proficiency in the use of test and diagnostic tools associated with industrial control systems troubleshooting
  • Ability to perform testing in accordance with documented test procedures
  • Ability to perform simulation testing of low voltage signals
  • Familiarity with low voltage test equipment
